Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

petrolelectric mobile " talkie " van. We now learn that business prospects with this class of machine are very bright. Actually, the governor used by T.S. Motors, Ltd., works so accurately that the greatest possible voltage variation is three—a figure far better than can be obtained. with permanent Installations running off town mains. Such an achievement in connection with a small plant is most creditable.

WHEN the new Daimler Fluid Flywheel buses of the L.G.O.C. are put into service, probably about the time of the Scottish Show, there will be a rush, on 11-e part of motorists in particular, to ride in them. An interesting form of test is to note the c18 acceleration by following one of them in a ear. It will be observed that, during the three upward changes when getting away from rest, the speedometer needle never pauses. Even on a first-class vehicle with a "snappy °' gear chang"e. of the ordinary type, there are distinct hesitations.

OPERATORS of vehicles carrying loose materials should pay particular attention to the method of loading; also to make certain that the body sides are sufficiently high to avoid the falling overboard of portions of the burden. That powerful instrument, the Press, is sometimes relegated to a comparatively obscure corner, where the members commence by feeling disgruntled and finish by failing to hear the speeches.

ONE of the developments in connection with electric lighting sets for buses is likely to be the use of the 24-volt circuit. The demands on the battery are so great to-day that, working at a 12-volt pressure, unduly heavy cables are required. Already there are several large chassis equipped with two 12-volt batteries which can be used in parallel for lighting and in series to give 24 volts for starter work,
