A-8 AT YOUR FINGERTIPS • The route guidance computer program, Autoroute, is now available in an improved version called Autoroute Plus, which gives finer details to include tiny villages, natural landmarks and destinations pinpointed through postcodes.
Users can now edit the maps to add street names or mark congested roads: optimise a multi-drop route to save mileage; key directly into the map to give a driver alternative route instructions, if he has been delayed; and cost your jobs. Users can map out the locations of hundreds of customers, dealers, depots, and garages and tailor the information to give telephone num
bers, contact names and landmarks to give an exact description of the route.
The basic program is £299 (ex-VAT); the extra gazetteer editor £149; the postcode and costing modules £199 each — a total of £846 (ex-VAT).
