• Foam air filters manufacturer Pipercross has been taken over by the 2.50 million turnover Beaverco group in a move aimed to launch its unique products "into the big time".
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, puts the resources of a major British industrial group behind this small company, previously owned by Australian investors. The new owner plans to develop new and existing markets for Pipercross products in the commercial vehicle and autosport sectors. It also expects to expand the patented foam filter technology into new products.
The company, based at Leicester Road, Lutterworth is to be restructured in a quest for greater efficiency.
