Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I AM SURPRISED that The Hawk claims to be able to "spot a rat" when his Bird's-eye View (CM, April 6) is so jaundiced.

To answer the question in the headline, London Regional Transport really does want to know the views of passengers and representative bodies on its consultation document.

In preparing our Strategic Statement we are required to consult local authorities, British Rail and the London Regional Passengers Committee.

The main document has been circulated to local transport groups, Chambers of Commerce and other bodies; a detailed summary has gone to well over 1,000 residents' groups and the like in the London area, and a leaflet seeking individual passengers' views on the issues raised has also been produced. Hardly the limited exercise that The Hawk suggests.
