Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WHILE overall standards may have raced ahead at motorway service stations, the quality of their fast food has lagged behind, says the Automobile Association.

Inspectors for the AA's Drive magazine looked at 19 of the UK's 46 motorway service stations.

They found that the most expensive cup of coffee is offered at Frankley (Granada, M5) for 60p — with tea priced 40p. Yet Aust (Rank, M4) charges 35p for coffee. A cup of tea at Watford Gap (Blue Boar, M1) is just 22p.

In 19 out of 76 meals sampled, a black mark was earned for dirty cutlery. The worst offenders were IVIembury (Welcome Break, M4) and Birch (Granada, M62). Aust (Rank, M4) and Woodall (Trust House Forte, M1) had chipped plates.

The fastest fast food was served at Hilton Park (Rank, M6) with a four-and-a-half minute turn-around from walking in to sitting down to eat. At Gordano (THF, M5) inspectors queued for 20 minutes. The average wait for food was 10 minutes.

The best for overall satisfaction were THF's Gordano (f1/415), Granada's Washington (Al M) and THF's Woodall Northbound (M1).
