THE BATLEY works of Anglo Coachbuilders Ltd has secured a contract worth £200,000 to build thirteen appliances for the Cumbria Fire Brigade.
It is believed that this is the first time that a Chrysler G12 chassis equipped with Perkins T6/364 diesel engine and five-speed gearbox has been used as the basis of a fire appliance.
The bodywork employs a box-section steel frame clad in aluminium.
