PURCHASING and distribution managers are being br brought together on May 22 at a joint Institute of Purchasing and Supply and Centre for Physical Distribution Management conference.
Designed to enable those involved with causing decisions to take the legistics of international transport movements into account, it will include papers by GKN distributors chairman E. Grubb, and CPDM acting manager R. C. Horsley.
Other factors taken into account will be final in place costs, availability, quality, guaranteed delivery dates, stability of labour, service, cash flow, political considerations, and exchange rates.
The conference is to be held at London's Kensington Close Hotel, and fees are set according to delegates' standing with the sponsoring organisations.
