THE INDEPENDENT pharmaceutical manufacturer Thornton & Ross has purchased its first Renault: an 18-tonne Premium 270 rigid curtainsider.
The reason why the Yorkshire-based company decided to buy French from vehicle retailer JDS Trucks, according to distribution manager Rob Henderson, was down to providing "excellent value for our budget".
He continues: We tested a number of marques and the Renault Premium was our preferred choice.
The Premium cab was spacious and comfortable, which is important for the driver, because the vehicle will often be used for overnight tasks."
The Euro-5 truck, which comes with a high-roof sleeper cab. will deliver pharmaceuticals to stores. supermarkets and wholesalers across the UK.
