on drug smugglers has netted hauliers allegedly carrying cannabis and amphetamines worth £2m in three separate cases.
Cannabis with a Lim street value was allegedly found on a Sunbury-based Reg Spearing Holdings' vehicle. Driver Clive Cogbill of Staines was remanded in custody at Dover Magistrates Court until today (4 March).
Two drivers working for John Raymond Transport of Bridgend were charged with drugs smuggling offences after 125kg of cannabis was found by Dover Customs in Raymond vehicles travelling from Belgium last month.
Dundee lorry drivers James Gilruth and Alister Hutchinson, and transport manager Ernest Hogg of Bowruefaud, Angus have been charged with possession of £500,000 worth of amphetamines.
