AN ANGLO-GERMAN link between two companies has made a new TIR groupage service between cities in Britain and Germany possible.
Air Freight Ltd Group has linked with Barth Arcus KG to use the 12-metre trailers and road trains operated by the British company and the German company's offices in Mannheim and Cologne.
To start with, the service is being run on a four or five-day door to door basis, Customs cleared between places in the Mannheim, Frankfurt and Stuttgart areas linking with the London, Birmingham and Manchester areas.
The new services use the Customs facilities of subsidiary Skyways Cargo Airline which are linked to the operational base at Lydd Airport.
