the SuperSlat to meet the growing demand for even higher standards of dry freight shutter performance. This latest product has one third fewer moving parts than the AccessPlus, with gains in reliability and durability, says Mobile. It says SuperSlat pioneers the use of co-extrusion technology and has the deepest slats used in a production dry freight shutter to achieve advances in safety, weather sealing, noise reduction, appearance and cleaning. SuperSlat is available in three slat depths-300, 370 and 500mm. All are made from multi-veneered birch composite ply, and have a new low-profile track mounting and perimeter seal design which together can provide an increase in available loading width in the shutter aperture of up to 60mm. In conjunction with a leading manufacturer of synthetic, oilbased materials, Mobile has developed the one-piece coextruded FingerShield. This acts as a finger guard, a continuous inter-slat hinge, a weather seal and roller holder fixing.
