RIBBLE is to run a special bus service for disabled people in conjunction with the Central Lancashire Association of the Disabled.
The service, to run between Adlington and Preston, will operate on a Saturday in May, June and July. A special bus equipped with a ramp and accommodation for wheelchair passengers will be used and a volunteer helper from the association will travel to help passengers on and off the vehicle.
If the service proves a success, Ribble hopes to incorporate it in its regular network.
