4CANTON Vehicle Rentals has opened two new branches at tingham and Bristol (see p14)and has appointed two new branch nagers.
Jan Gowlett is branch manr for the Nottingham depot. 1 He joined Wincanton two years ago as contracts manager at its London headquarters, following more than 20 years experience in the transport industry in the UK and Canada.
Brian Astbury is the new branch manager at Bristol. He will be responsible for all the Truck Rental and Contract Hire business in Avon, Gloucester, South Wales, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
Wincanton also has a satellite depot at Exeter which will come under the responsibility of Mr Astbury.
Mr Astbury has been with Wincanton for three and a half years. He was previously Truck Rental manager at Milton Keynes and before that was a management trainee in 1980.
