Beans specialises in the reman uf a ctu re of diesel engines while Coventry Components concentrates on petrol engine and gearboxes and both claim to see an increasing demand that they should cater for other than just British-built units.
The two West Midlands-based companies claim to be the largest contract remanufacturers of engines in the Uk.
Every component is given a hot chemical clean before rebuild after which the complete units undergo performance tests.
All necessary components are machined to tolerances which are claimed to be equal to those of new units with all other parts being subjected to examination for re-use or replacement.
