Colchester Tillage Ltd, Hythe Hill, Colchester, Essex, Colchester Tillage distributes the Swedish Tico hydraulic truck cranes in the UK and offer models with capacities ranging from 1,150kg (2,5201b) at 2.13 (7ft) boom length to 5,080kg at 2m (6ft 7in) boom length.
All loaders can either be mounted behind the cab or at the rear or middle of the body. Detachable mounting is also available. The hydraulic stabilisers have enclosed rams for protection against damage and dirt, and they are individually adjustable. All hydraulic circuits are fitted with relief valves and constant flow valves allow controlled lowering irrespective of the load weight. Safety check valves stop the load from dropping in the event of hose failure.
All models of crane can be supplied with an inbuilt winch and slewing is unlimited in either direction. Colchester Tillage also markets the COTIL (1-ton) mini-crane for use on 10 and 15cwt pick-up trucks or lorries. It has a doubleacting hand pump and can handle loads of 1 ton at 3ft lin jib length.
