Challenger offers three cranes for lorry mounting, the CH 1100, CH 1600 and CH 2000 with maximum capacities of 1,100kg (2,4201b), 1,587kg (3,5201b) and 1,996kg (4,400Ib) respectively, at their minimum reach position of 1,499mm (4ft llin).
All models slot Into chassismounted sockets in the vehicle body floor, enabling them to be moved from truck to truck or even dropped into a ground socket. Several such sockets can be provided on one vehicle to increase the potential use of the crane. Each crane has a turning circle of 360.
Choices of manual, battery electric, pto or mains power packs are available. Safety features include overload and broken pipe valves and the cranes meet British Standard 2573. Optional extras are support jacks, hydraulic extension and winches.
