ON SHOW for the first time will be a new light-weight version of the Rolonof Two from Powell Duffryn Engineering Ltd. This unit resembles the standard Rolonof Two in operation sequence but is designed to cater for the smaller end of the market, and loading operations are carried out using a single hydraulic ram.

Also from Powell Duffryn, the Dinosaur is an all-hydraulic container-handling unit which can pick up or put down its containers either full or empty at ground level or at standard dock loading height. When full the containers are discharged by tipping. A range of bodies is available from 10 to 31curn (13 to 40cuyd) capacity.

The first Rotovac to be built with a clean water compartment and sewer flushing equipment, the new 4,540-litre (1,000 gal) Agriwhale and an artic trailer tank are among the exhibits of Whale Tankers to be on show. The dirty water recycling system is a relative newcomer from Whale which provides a powerful jet of water directed into the gully to loosen stubborn grit in dry gullies. The system draws filtered water from the sludge compartment and delivers water under pressure while the gully arm is removing sludge continuously. The recycling system will be shown on a Whale Commander on a Ford chassis.

Designed for use with an agricultural tractor, the Agri. whale is a two-wheeled trailer whose features include a cutout valve which can be completely removed from the tank in seconds and a removable rear inlet/outlet valve assembly. A combined vacuum/ pressure gauge and contents indicator are standard fittings.

Two new bin-lifts will he exhibited on Comm-Sita refuse vehicles built by Derbyshire Commercials Ltd. The 6000R bin-lift which is remote-controlled and operated electrohydraulically will be shown on a Seddon Atkinson chassis and can be removed from the machine in three to four minutes.
