ON SHOW for the first time will be a new light-weight version of the Rolonof Two from Powell Duffryn Engineering Ltd. This unit resembles the standard Rolonof Two in operation sequence but is designed to cater for the smaller end of the market, and loading operations are carried out using a single hydraulic ram.
Also from Powell Duffryn, the Dinosaur is an all-hydraulic container-handling unit which can pick up or put down its containers either full or empty at ground level or at standard dock loading height. A combined vacuum/ pressure gauge and contents indicator are standard fittings.
Two new bin-lifts will he exhibited on Comm-Sita refuse vehicles built by Derbyshire Commercials Ltd. The 6000R bin-lift which is remote-controlled and operated electrohydraulically will be shown on a Seddon Atkinson chassis and can be removed from the machine in three to four minutes.
