Conversely, after coupling, the legs are manually retracted until the load is borne by the tractive unit and then they are electrically powered to the fully retracted position. The legs are electrically-powered up or down in 7secs.
In the event of an electrical failure the manual system takes over.
Static capacity of the gear is 24.4 tonnes (24 tons) and the legs are fitted, as standard, with flat feet though wheels are available as an option.
