company's 657 and 6-500 gearboxes, the 06-600 has a split aluminium gear case designed to facilitate maintenance and to save weight Many parts are interchangeable with earlier six-speed-units' . It is designed for continuous high-speed operagion of the vehicle on motorways or the equivalent and to accommodate the high temperatures that such running produces.

The gearbox can be supplied with a layshalt pto incorporating a torque-limiting device. which should be of particular benefit in the case of a tanker or any other type of vehicle that may be driven with the pto continuously in operation_ It caters for applications to left-hand-drive vehicles.
