He has now joined A.C. (Acedes) Cars, Ltd., as sales and advertising manager, of which concern Mr. W. Hurlock is managing director and Mr. C. Hurlock general manager,

Laughton was with the British Wagon Co. for nearly 10 years, first as representative, and later as branch manager. in Lancashire. In July of last year he became Yorkshire branch manager to his present company, and will again work in co-operation with his old friends in Lancashire and Cheshire, whilst extending his Corporation's hire. purchase facilities in Yorkshire. He will operate from Sunlight House, Quay Street, Manchester, and 10-12, East Parade, Leeds.

Oil Price Increase.

Owing to rising prices of crude. ocean freights, containers and distribution, the Vigrol Oil Refining Co. (London), Ltd., has announced that the price of its lubricating oils has been increased by 3d. per gallon as horn June 1. This does not apply where customers are on contract.

Death of Yorkshire Pioneer.

Mr. John Bragg, one of the pioneers of mechanical transport in the heavy woollen district of Yorkshire, has died at the age of 74. tle was head of the firm of J. Bragg and Son and of Bragg's Rapid Transport Service, of Dewsbury, which he and a son, Mr. Edgar Bragg, founded 34 years ago. From a small beginning, the business has grown into one of the largest of its kind in the heavy woollen district.
