This week, it's a Renault Magnum Words: Laurie Dealer THIS WEEK'S best used truck is a 2007registered Renault Magnum 480.
The 6x2 flagship is powered by the 12.1-litre DXi engine producing Euro-3 emission levels. Peak power is 480hp and maximum torque is 2,240Nm at 1,050rpm to 1,450rpm. Transmission is the automated 12-speed Optidriver II with direct drive top gear.
The chassis has a mid-lift axle, Jost sliding fifth wheel and twin-alloy fuel tanks. Up top is the twin-sleeper on four-point air suspension, with luxuries such as an Isringhausen heated, air-suspended driver's seat, electric blinds and fridge.
It's only had one previous owner, was tested until the end of the year, has only 900,000km on the clock, and the vendor, Walker Movements, has advertised it at £9,950.
With Magnum due to be replaced at Euro-6, the last of these iconic trucks are going through production this year.
There was never enough sold new to satisfy the demand it gets from operators in the second-hand market, so get in quick.
