While agreeing with all the points that you made, we feel we must point out one other very important factor when tightening whed nuts: it must be done in the sequence recommended by both the truck and wheel manufacturers, not only when tightening but also when wheels are removed.
Thank you for publicising this very topical subject. As operators we need the support of the technical press to ensure our drivers don't just think we are being neurotic.
