• Truck rental group Hill Hire has recorded a 46% increase in turnover and profits up by a half to £3.5m for the year ended March 1996—despite complaining that truck rental rates are 10% down on 1995 levels.

The company, which recently sold its light commercial vehicle division Ember Rental and bought Euro Trailer Rental (ETR1 plans to concentrate on the truck and trailer market.
