Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

/ Nottingham-based coach company Skills has sold its Sheffield bus operation, which has subsequently been renamed Don Valley Bus Services (CM 6-12 June).

The new owners are Julian Peddle, managing director of Stevensons of Uttoxeter, Ralph Garratt, who runs Midland Fox subsidiary Wreake Valley Travel, and two other un-named investors.

Garratt, who retains his position at WVT, is taking the reins of the new firm, which has eight minibuses and 18 staff. He plans to expand into private hire and take on more school and works contracts.

Garratt believes that any services the company offers will not clash with its neighbour, bus giant South Yorkshire Transport. By the end of this year he hopes to be running up to 15 vehicles.

Meanwhile, Skills is left with 50 vehicles and one depot at Nottingham.

The company is currently concentrating on its coach work, which accounts for 90% of its fleet, and is moving away from local authority bus work.
