• A Detroit Diesel dealer is putting a third truck fitted with a Series 60 engine into service (CM 28 Mar-3 April). West Coast Diesel of Pinxston, near Nottingham, is importing a cabover Volvo White GMC 6x4, installing a Series 60 instead of its factory-fitted Cat engine, and using it to replace its current Volvo tow-tractor in its truck racing team.
The truck being replaced, a bonneted 4x2 Volvo also fitted with a Series 60, is to be sold, together with the firm's White GMC racing truck.
