• Goodyear has introduced a radial tyre designated the G391. Its design follows a trend set 10 years ago by Goodyear's G291 tyre with its Flexomatic tread, which has continuous shoulders to overcome the "threepenny bit" wear pattern which separate blocks can fall victim to. On the 391, three central ribs are split into more blocks laterally and across the circumference to reduce rolling resistance.
