IN Finnish truck builder Sisu aims to expand into Continental Europe. It had been considering the UK but appears to have ruled this out because of the recession (CM 7-13 March).
"We must minimise our dependence on the domestic market," it says in its annual report for 1990. Sisu sees great opportunities in the European Community and believes that "the market will soon become active again". Sisu produced 901 civilian trucks last year, with 211 military vehicles and 383 terminal tractors. It is building a research and design centre at its Helsinki factory which will open in October,
