MINISTER for Transport, Dr John Gilbert, intends to prescribe minimum Strength requirements for bus and coach roofs as soon as a suitable technical standard is available.
Announcing this in the Commons, he pointed out that recorded instances of these roofs collapsing were few, and no figures were available about the deaths or injuries they may have caused.
