A Drivers of passenger vehicles equipped to carry 10 or more persons including the driver must comply with EEC Regulation 543/69 when in Common Market countries. The Regulations apply to international journeys including that part undertaken in the United Kingdom.

However, you will not need a psv driver's licence if you are over 21 years of age, hold a British driving licence and have not less than one year's driving .experience. But you will need a certificate to show that you fulfil these conditions.

You can obtain an official application form together with a free booklet (Int P1) from the Department •of the Environment, 2 Marsh am Street, London SW1, or any traffic office.

Drivers holding a psv licence or hgv driving licence do not need a certificate.
