ONE large user of the Seafreightliner Harwich /Zeebrugge service, however has his own views on the reason for the congestion at Harwich. "How many Customs officers are there now at Harwich compared with three years ago?" he asks, complaining that his company loses the use of a container for an average of 3.7 days going via Harwich. On 100 container movements a month this means that it could lose the equivalent of a year's use out of a container.
