When CM invited Werner Heubeck to present a paper on productivity to this year's Fleet Management Conference—in Manchester on September 18—we only knew the first-year results of Ulsterbus Ltd. under its energetic managing director. Now that we know the remarkable second-year results (CM last week) and the plans for future development, that conference presentation begins to look even more stimulating.
As Mr. Heubeck said last week, to provide good wages, better services and still accumulate cash reserves of nearly £800,000 shows what a strong management team can do.
