The recent paragraph on this page regarding professional drivers who are not perhaps as good as they could be gave rise to discussions among the spectators at the Leeds LDoY round regarding the fault most frequently seen on the road. The answer: driving too close to the vehicle in front in fast-moving traffic.
While agreeing that this is a situation often fraught with danger, it has to be admitted that there is some justification for one driver's plea that leaving a properly safe margin in front in heavy traffic only results in some more pushing motorist overtaking and filling in the gap.
