• Since the Hargreaves Group Ltd. divided its main transport company (Hargreaves Transport Ltd.) in the course of the year, giving the tanker division and the tipper division independent status, the latter, under the name of Hargreaves Freight Ltd., both divisions had improved their results. Tankers, said the report for the year ended March 31 1969, had again become a good contributor to profits.
The year had been one of steady progress and profits before taxation advanced to £931,460 (1968: £853,788).
