AFour-wheeled electrically propelled
vehicles first registered before October 1969 and capable of speeds in excess of 15 mph must be fitted with two headlights from October 1971. Four-wheeled electric vehicles with a top speed of less than 15 mph and all three-wheelers must have two headlights from October 1973.
Electric vehicles registered after October 1969 must be fitted with two headlights from new. The regulations became effective from April 1 1968.
