MR. A. C. BARRETT-, formerly advertising manager of the tyre division of the Dominion Rubber Co. in Canada, has been appointed tyre advertising and sales promotion manager of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd.

MR. J. WOOLFINDEN. for 20 years superintendent at the Bradford depot of the West Yorkshire Road Car Co., Ltd., has retired. He served 30 years with the company, and has been presented with a wallet and Premium bonds by his colleagues.
MR. ERIC HOLLANDS has been appointed director and general manager of A.C.V. Sales, Ltd., with effect from August I. He is to succeed MR. A. S. C. ArrEy on his retirement. Mr. Hotlands has been with A.C.V. and A.E.C. for 38 years and since 1953 has been municipal sales manager. MR. WILLIAM HARE has been appointed sales director of a new subsidiary company of Black and Decker, Ltd., founded in South Africa.
MR. DESMOND DOWLING, formerly Liverpool branch manager for Ryans Car Hire, Ltd., has been appointed reception manager at the Dublin head office.
MR. A. E. MORRISTI has succeeded MR. N. R. CARRINGTON-BATES as president of the National Association of Vehicle Builders. MR. J. S. WICKS becomes vicepresident.

MR, E. W. Ross has been appointed manager of the sales division of the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd. He joined the company in 1933, and has re c en ti y concentrated on mileage contracts.
MR. A. HirretcEa has decided to resign from the board of Benzole Producers, Ltd. He was chairman of the company from its formation in 1953 until 1955, when he also relinquished the chairmanship of the National Benzoic Co., Ltd.
