Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In connection with our article on the transport of heavy loads, which was published in our issue dated June 6th, we received a letter from Norman E. Box, Ltd., painting out that boilers are now usually hauled on four-wheeled trailers, the Ministry of Transport and the various road authorities being very keen on the employment of eight-wheeled machines.

We have now received from the company some interesting photographs of various types of loads which they have transported, and the one which we publish shows a 30-ft. by 9-ft. boiler, weighing 40 tons, being hauled from Blackburn to Mossley by a steam tractor mounted on rubber tyres. It will be noted that the weight of the boiler is distributed over eight wheels, the tyres being of considerable width, and the pressure being widely distributed.
