Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Engines: 2.5-litre Vdiesel, 172hp/403Nm (Novara) 133hp/304Nm (Pickup) Transmissions: 4x2, 4x4;6spd manual GVW: 3,110kg Cabs: extended, do Lible (Novara), single (Pickup) Mitsubishi's offering may be the market leader, but Nissan is snapping at its heels with the lager and more technically advanced Navara.

While its size may not be to everyone's taste, no-one is likely to complain about the rest of the package, except maybe the price.

Currently delivering class leading power and torque outputs, it's as happy on a 300mile motorway journey as tootling around town with the minimum of gear shifting. However, the most impressive feature when the Navara arrived was the huge leap in chassis development, which others are only just catching up with.

Even the base model gets a decent inventory, while the too of the range Avantura brings enough toys to satisfy any tax dodger transferring from the flashiest company car.

The outgoing model, still imaginatively named Pickup, remains available as an entry level offering with single cab only and 4x2 or 4x4 options.

UKES AND DISUKES...

v Well sorted chassis v Powerful and flexible engine It Sheer bulk can be a handicap
