Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The fastest growing sector in the CV marketplace has seen a wide variety of new arrivals during the past year — some of them useful and some of them not so.

0 fall the market sectors, the one-tonne pickup group has seen the biggest changes over the past year or so, with every contender either having had a major update, or just about to. Although the tax benefits of running pickups as company vehicles are about to be reduced, they will still offer a positive incentive. This should ensure the continuing upward sales trend is not about to stop.

At the half-year point, the market size was just over 60% of the whole of 2005. Nearer the end of 2006, as Commercial Motor was going to press, the sector leader was 23% upon it's year-to-date numbers.

There's something for everyone in the pickup market today, from the entry-level Proton Jumbuck to the footballers' wives Dodge Ram.

Tata, purveyor of pickups for the budget conscious, was on the verge of finally bringing a sensibly powerful driveline to market when its UK distributor, part of the MG-Rover-owning Phoenix Group, collapsed and has yet to reappear this side of the Channel. This is a particularly sad fact given that some attractive looking products have been spotted at shows across the Channel.

Big news in the 4x4 van market is the imminent arrival of a new Land Rover Defender, with Mitsubishi determined not to be outdone as its new Outlander SUV is also promised to be available in commercial form in the spring. There is also the possibility of a new Land Rover Discovery Commercial, but don't hold your breath.
