EXEL-LBIT BUY
Exel subsidiary Tradeteam is Investing £4.5m on 90 new trucks following its merger with the Ocean Group. The new stock, which includes 30 Volvo Fill urban antics and 50 MAN urban artics and rigids, will be liveried in the new colours launched in the summer.
MOSCOW PRODUCTION
Volvo Is to build a heavy-truck assembly plant outside Moscow with Russian company JSFC Sistema. Production will start next summer and more than 250 vehicles are due to roll off the line in the first year.
GLOBAL FURRY
Five Renault 6x6 380hp Kerax trucks will take part in the Total-Paris-Dakar rally in January. More than 10,000km will be covered as the race hits France, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and Senegal in 20 days.
