Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Chassis-less refrigerated trailer manufacturer Gray & Adams, which places great reliance on the quality of welded assemblies, is well into re-equipping with Migpak 500/Transmatic 244 electronically controlled welding sets from Murex.

The trailers, up to 13.5m long, consist of one-piece sandwich panels bonded together on to a chassis frame which consists of various components — suspension, axles, sideguards, landing legs and fifth-wheel coupling. Various tensile strengths of steel, stainless steel and aluminium are used.

Weld runs on steel are generally in the range 50mm to 300mm. Cored wire is used to give the penetration required on higher stressed assemblies with welds from 4mm to 12mm.

Gray & Adams specifies welding sets with the Murex fourwheel driven Transmatic 244 wire transport system.
