• The South Humberside-based H & L Tyres group has a new management team to lead it into the 1990s.
The group's main operation is in Scunthorpe, but it also has a branch at Killingholme. Both operations offer a tyre service for trucks, earthmoving and industrial vehicles, and cars. It also provides after-sales service of fitting, wheel balancing, regrooving and tyre breakdown. The group is now headed by business development director Pat Waller, supported by general manager Ben Jarvis.
Waller has been involved in the tyre industry for 30 years, and Jarvis boasts more than 20 years in the truck, tanker, trailer and tyre industries in both purchasing and sales positions. "We also offer a first-class truck retread from our own RTS plant," says Waller.
