Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A QUESTIONER at the Commercial Motor Road Show held recently in Swansea raised the issue of updating service personnel in the new technologies being applied to commercial vehicles. Were there training courses and if so were any grants available Cu assist M covering the cost of the training? he wanted to know.

The answer to both questions is "yes". The Manpower Services Commission can provide financial assistance to a limited number of employers who want to improve the efficiency of their companies by introducing or developing training opportunities for their employees and acquiring the skills and motivation to cope with technological change.

At least two schemes are available: Local Training Grants to employers and the Access to Information Technology scheme.
