MR. W. E. MESSENGER, ASSOC.INST.T., formerly transport manager of Burslem and District Industrial Co-operative Society, has become transport manager of the Carbon Dioxide Co., Ltd.
MR. PETER MORRISON, traffic manager of the Western S.M.T. Co., Ltd., was knocked down by a car in Lanark last week. He was taken to Kilmarnock Infirmary suffering from shock and a broken leg and arm.
Ma. WALTER HART retired last Monday from his position as managing director of Kerry's (Great Britain), Ltd. He continues to serve on the board, and is succeeded as managing director by MR. W. NORMAN HART, who has been assistant managing director for four years.
MR. ALONZO Limn has become sole managing director of C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd. He previously shared the managing directorship with MR. W. H. SENNECK, who has now retired after 45 years' service. Mr. Senneek remains on the board. MR. W. F. LIST and MR. L. M. BROADWAY have been appointed assistant managing directors.
MR. H. COOPER, MR. W. E. C, MACVE and MR, J. F. ROBERTS will comprise the representatives of the Institute of Transport on the Sir William Chamberlain memorial advisory committee for the 1951-52 session. Mr. Cooper will be the honorary secretary.. Other members will be ALD. W. BRADLEY, Municipal Passenger Transport Association; MR. 1-1, ALLEN, Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association; MR. R. ATKINS and MR. F RuDmAt4, Road Haulage Association; MR. R. McK. WALKER, Traders' Road Transport Association; and MR. F. WILLIAMSON, the North-western Licensing Authority. MR. KENNETH SCOTT has succeeded MR. H. R. SMITH as manager of the Lincoln depot of Albion Motors, Ltd.
• MR, T. BROWN has been appointed a joint 'managing director of the Sheepbridge Engineering Co., Ltd., with MR. A. V. NICOLLE, who will continue as deputy chairman.
MR. C. S. PEARSON'S appointment as chief sales executive of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd., announced last week, is concerned with official contracts for tyres and general rubber goods.
