First to arrive this spring will be fixed and self-steering axles designed for 19.5in low-profile tyres. Before the end of the year they will be joined by fixed and self-steering versions of its 17.5in and 15in tyre lowloader axles.
The sealed axle bearings are claimed to give a range of 500,000km before inspection is needed, and a reduction in the number of replacement brake parts is designed to reduce service times by 75%. SAF's axle distributor is IMS (0509) 600185.
