Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Nissan's range of one-tonne pickups is now available with a new diesel engine, and the four-wheel-drive versions also get power-assisted steering as standard. There are a few external trim changes but the vehicle's appearance is largely unaltered.

The new diesel engine is a 2,494cc naturally-aspirated IDI unit that delivers 56kW (75hp) at 4,300rpm and 147Nm (108Ibft) at 2,200rpm. The two-wheel-drive pickup with the diesel engine will cost 27,567, compared with 29,855 plus VAT for the four-wheeldrive version.

This will leave the 4x4 diesel pickup at a disadvantage compared to its major competitor, the Toyota HiLux 4x4 diesel pickup, which is priced at 28,489 plus VAT.

The existing two-litre petrol engine will still be available in the 2WD pickup, and the 2.4 litre petrol engine will be available in the 4WD pickup.
