Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• PSV coachbuilder Wadham Stringer is now offering its Wessex minibus body on the Mercedes 12 709, 809 and 811D chassis cowls. Operators will be able to order the Wessex body on the T2 chassis in three versions: welfare; stage carriage bus; and full coach, with an extensive choice of interior trim on all three.

Standard features include an electrically-operated jack-knifetype front passenger door. Coach models can be supplied with a full enclosed boot, while welfare versions can have a rear door fitted to provide access to wheelchair passengers raised by a tail lift. The standard stage carriage Wessex body has 25 seats although, with a wheelbase extension, the Wessex can have up to 33.

The Wessex body has a steel subframe and glassreinforced plastic front and rear mouldings. The roof and side panelling is aluminium.

Wadham Stringer already produces a minibus conversion called the Samaritan based on the Mercedes T2 van range, as well as Wessex bodies for the Freight Rover, Iveco Ford and Dodge 50 Series chassis cowls.

Price for the Wessex body on the T2 chassis cowl is around 216,500, depending on specification.

Waterlooville-based Wadham Stringer has teamed up with chassis dealer Arlington to bufild 20 Vanguard II bodies on Leyland Swift chassis.
