THE first of the Government's rural transport experiments is now under way.
The Welsh Office has written to 300 householders in and around Llandovery, inviting them to take part in this experiment.
They will be asked to provide interviewers from Dyfed County Council with information about their travel needs, and to keep a record of their journeys for two weeks.
This survey will be used as a test for questions the Government will use in wider surveys.
The experiments are designed to improve public transport within the present licensing code.
They may include the use of private cars, taxis, postal vehicles and school buses in places not at present served by public transport.
