• Refuelling Equipment Company of Glasgow was refused an application for six vehicles and three trailers on behalf of its subsidiary, Albion Oil Company, in Glasgow on Tuesday. At the same hearing the company had its 0 licence authorizing four vehicles and three trailers reduced by one vehicle from the end of February.

Refuelling Equipment is engaged in refuelling aircraft at Abbotsinch and Tumhouse Airports and had an operator's licence issued on January 27 1971 for a two-year period.

Mr P. Kehoe, a DoE inspector, said that while the premises were adequate for the vehicles presently authorized he questioned the company's ability to handle the addition of those applied for. The inspector said that the maintenance staff were so busy repairing a backlog of defects that he could not visualize them being able to carry out normal weekly inspections.

Between June and November 1971 the company had been issued with three immediate and three delayed GV9s.
