• Northern Vehicle Distributors Ltd, Dalmarnock Trading Estate, Rutherglen, Glasgow, has been appointed DAF main dealer for central Scotland. It has also been made Scottish distributor for Multiloader body systems and for Overlander Trailers Ltd.
Examples of all three companies' products were exhibited by Northern this week, the DAFs being 28-ton and 38-ton tractive units, the latter with a sleeper cab. Overlander trailers shown were a 40ft tandem platform type with twistlocks and a 33ft platform model. The Multiloader demountable by Multi-Cargo was demonstrated on a Volvo.
