DUPLE INTERNATIONAL, the coachbuilder's parent company, made a £995,000 loss before tax in the year to August 31, against a £40,000 profit the previous year.
Its plastics and engineering divisions are still suffering from the recession, but it expects to return to profit next year.
It plans to operate more efficiently and productively, and puts part of the blame for its losses on accepting reduced price orders and orders for nonstandard bodies.
